Sandra Wilson

Sandra's Work

I have always been very interested in the visual arts.
As a small child, I was always drawing and making up stories about the people and animals that I drew.  I would draw on anything ... the margins of newspapers, the dirt, any clear space ... even on walls!!

It wasn't until I went to school that I discovered what a wonderful world of media was available. Eventually, I went on to train as an Art/Craft teacher ... in Secondary Schools. I loved teaching and I loved the opportunity to experience a wide variety of mediums ... along with my students. However, it was not until I retired that I was truly able to follow my own path.

I enjoy using most mediums...my works cover quite a range ... watercolour, gouache, acrylics, oils, some pastel and drawing.
My painting style is generally representational, but occasionally, I do some abstract works.
