Drawing and painting have been a love since childhood. I have no formal qualifications in fine art, but take part in regular lessons and workshops to expand my skills.

Where I live has a huge influence of my art, as it has inspiring views of water, mountains, rocks and trees. Therefore, I paint a wide range of topics from scenery, boats, buildings  and often people. I paint to express myself and to try to create something pleasing to the eye.

I use all mediums and,, recently have been enjoying learning to paint with oils. My painting style leans towards realism. I like the work of the Impressionists, and find them inspiring. Because of my newer interest in oil painting I am appreciating the work of the masters and I’m enjoying learning their techniques.

I am very active in the local Seymour Art Society, because I believe it is important to give back to the community and  in return helps my practice by working with other artists.
