Now well into her eighth decade, and after a lifetime of painting, Lee Stephenson occasionally thinks perhaps it's time to stop; but so far that has not been possible. The muse is still there, and she cannot resist it. Painting is in her blood.
Nowadays she rarely exhibits, but private clients come to her home in the Trawool hills to look at her work and occasionally to buy. If her works have to be categorised then the looseness of her style means they are more impressionistic than anything else.
Her paintings hang in private homes in Australia, England and the U.S. Some images can be seen at www.leestephenson.com In 2013 Lee instigated GR8 ART - a very successful art exhibition and sale in the Trawool Valley, held in the local fire station, to raise much needed funds for the local Country Fire Authority. She can be contacted through The Seymour and District Art Society.
