TASTES OF THE GOULBURN 2024

It was a terrific day at Tastes of the Goulburn, in April in Seymour. It is our towns wonderful food and wine show which is held annually in Station St Seymour.
It was a fabulous opportunity for the Seymour and District Art Society to show and promote our art. We also used this opportunity for the first use of our brand new gazebo, which we were able to purchase thanks to the sponsorship of Seymour Lions.
Sales were happening thick and fast and it was a wonderful atmosphere with a huge crowd of people enjoying the many tasty sites and the sunshine.

2022 Art Beyond the Divide a resounding success!

30/11/2022

Record breaking floods and a national pandemic may have delayed the Art Beyond the Divide exhibition, but persistence paid off with one of the best shows in the many years of the exhibition.

With over 250 artworks entered and great sales, this year was well supported by artists, sponsors, businesses and the Seymour community.

The Most Outstanding Artwork in Show went to a fantastic watercolour by Melbourne artist Julian Bruere, who was also awarded the S&DAS hanging committee prize for his work, Across the Paddock, Yea.

S&DAS President Dr Terri MacDonald said "The Art Beyond the Divide exhibition is more than a local art show. It's a celebration of visual art and creativity that brings our regional community together."

"We are grateful for the ongoing support of our wonderful sponsors, business, council and of course, the artists, who entered their work."

"We also appreciate the interest of the public who attended the exhibition and demonstrated their support of regional arts through buying artwork and spreading the interest in the show."

"We have shown that, despite the hurdles thrown at us, our community supports its artists and the art society, and we are looking forward to planning for the next Art Beyond the Divide exhibition in 2023."
