MURAL PAINTING AT KARINGAL, SEYMOUR

​Our society undertook painting in the Dementia Wing of Karingal, Seymour's aged care residence.
We were asked to paint a scene on a wall to seem as if the viewer was looking through a window. Karingal's team of volunteers sold raffles to raise money to buy paint and supplies.
Our president, Valma worked hard organising purchase and mixing of paint, artists to help and she then painted a small depiction of a scene to be reproduced.
Many hours were spent working on the mural and the work  provided entertainment for the residents and staff. 
The finished result is very pleasing to the eye. We have been asked to come back and paint another wall and many a staff member passed the remark that there were lots of walls that could be painted with a mural.
